baby weight loss journey
It wasnt until this morning that I realized that all three giveaway items for my pregnancy loss Mothers Day giveaway had something in common: Rosary, rosette necklace, and Lilla Rose hair accessory. I hope that means that the Blessed Mother and St. Therese are looking down on all the mothers who entered, and especially the winner...

Congratulations! Be looking for an email from me today so I can get your prizes to you by Mothers Day.
Thank you to all the women who entered. It was so wonderful to read the comments you left about what the most helpful things others did/said to help you after your losses. I have been keeping you in my prayers!
And thank you to Allison Kinyon for donating the beautiful pocket rosary! She does custom work and her rosaries are all so very lovely, so please keep her in mind if you have any Catholic gifts to purchase soon. My husband and I had Allison make us matching rosaries with the birthstone of our wedding month and then later had another matching one made for one of our goddaughters (so she always has a rosary that matches the one we pray for her on every night) and they are just such precious pieces to us.
A couple little updates:
After writing a post about how we named our miscarried babies and offering some additional suggestions for gender neutral Catholic/Saints names, I asked the Catholic baby naming guru, Katie of Sancta Nomina, if she had any additional suggestions. And she did! You can read her suggestions here.
I wrote a few book reviews of pregnancy loss books on my old blog and figured it was time I update them and move them over here. You can see them here: Coming to Term, Angels in My Heart, and After Miscarriage. They are also listed on my Pregnancy Loss Resources page along with articles, blogs posts, and other resources that Ive found helpful. Im always looking for more resources to suggest, and am especially looking for any decent books on pregnancy after loss (Ive read a few but none were noteworthy), so please send ideas my way!
When I link to books on Amazon, I use affiliate links. That means I get a small percentage of the purchase for referring you, but it doesnt cost you a thing! If you need to do any Amazon shopping, you can go to the Amazon search box on my right sidebar and start your shopping trip from there. Ill earn a bit of anything you purchase (not just books, anything you buy!). Its usually just pennies, but I appreciate the extra pennies toward my medical expenses. Thank you!
